Cycle paths in Biscarrosse

Explore the natural spaces of Biscarrosse by bike

The impression of immensity is omnipresent in the Landes. Walking the cycle paths by bike is a practical and fun way to discover the great natural spaces of cities like Biscarrosse, Parentis or Sanguinet, from forests to large lakes through the dunes, the vast white sand beaches and the ocean. To give you an overview, we have selected two of the best known Biscarrosse cycle paths. We will end with some tips for riding a bike safely on a bike path in Biscarrosse.

The most beautiful cycle paths in Biscarrosse

Arcachon - Biscarrosse Plage, a 25.7 km course

Travelers seldom content themselves with crisscrossing the Biscarrossan landscapes, pushing their adventure in other destinations of the Great Lakes. This Biscarrosse cycle path linking Arcachon to Biscarrosse Plage allows you to admire the salt meadows, the villages and oyster ports that make the reputation of the Arcachon Basin. It goes through the Pilat dune. Located a stone's throw from the beach, this gem is 110 meters high and spans 2.7 km. The getaway continues in the heart of the forest to arrive in Biscarrosse, where we indulge in various water sports such as surfing, kitesurfing and stand-up paddleboarding.

Biscarrosse Plage - Parentis, a 26 km course

This route allows you to enjoy the dunes and passes by the seaplane museum, a stone's throw from Lake Biscarrosse. From there, you can choose to continue the adventure in the forest if you plan to take advantage of the nautical leisures of Lake Sanguinet-Cazaux (5,800 hectares). Or we head to Parentis-en-Born and its 10 km of track, a destination also appreciated for its lake.

Safety rules on a cycle path

These instructions are basic, but are particularly important for your safety and the safety of others:

  • Bike paths are not made for a race against the clock
  • Always drive right
  • Slow down when other people are on the same leg - especially when there are children or pets around you
  • Look around before passing or stopping
  • Avoid stopping in the middle of a bike path
